Informed Consent

We are committed to evaluating if caregivers find MI Parenting Resource to be a helpful program. In order to do this, we are asking you to participate in a research study by providing data that will allow us to learn about program usage, user satisfaction, and whether MI Parenting Resource benefits parenting practices and child behavior. The MI Parenting Resource Program is currently only available to Michigan residents. Individuals must be at least 18 years old to participate in this research study.

  • We will ask you to provide demographic information.
  • We will ask you for brief feedback after you view each video.
  • We will collect data on program usage such as how many people register for the program and how many times a video is viewed.
  • If you have a child age 4-17, we will ask you to answer questions about your parenting practices and your child’s behavior as part of the program registration process.
  • We may contact you by email in the future to ask you to complete a follow-up survey.

We will protect your confidentiality by never sharing information that would make it possible to identify a research participant (for example, your email address) with anyone outside of the study. You may choose not to answer specific questions or to stop using the MI Parenting Resource program at any time without penalty.
